Fundraising Report & Forthcoming Events
Thank you to all who helped with and/or attended the Autumn half-term holiday club, we raised £129.85 in total.
We have a number of exciting upcoming events, so please add the following dates to your diary!
SPONSORED BOUNCE
To be held on Monday 5, Tuesday 6 and Friday 9 November.
Hopefully you all remembered to return our sponsorship forms by Friday 2
November - obviously with as many names on as possible!
The following prizes will be awarded:
* Most bounces under 3s
* Most bounces over 3s
* Most money sponsored
BAGS2SCHOOLS
We have another collection planned for 21 November, so please start putting aside any unwanted clothing, bedding and soft toys in preparation! It’s a great way to de-clutter (ready for all those Christmas presents!) plus Kingfisher receives money for it!
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR
This will be held at Liston Hall between 2.30 - 5.30pm on Saturday 24 November. Please ask Suzanne James for a list of traders attending the bazaar. There will be face painting, stalls and games plus a very special guest - Father Christmas! Please come along and support us, bring your friends too. We will be putting up a list requesting helpers very soon.
LATE NIGHT SHOPPING
We will have our usual stall at this year’s event , planned for 6 December. We need your help to make the stall as full as possible, with cakes and bottles (full ones!) for the tombola, as well as volunteers to help on the night. More details soon!
END OF TERM PARTY
This will be on Tuesday 18 December, and all children attending Kingfisher are invited. We will let you know more details nearer the time. PLUS, PLEASE REMEMBER EASYFUNDRAISING.ORG.UK A great site for all your online Christmas shopping - much easier than dragging the children around the shops and it raises money for Kingfisher at the same time!
Committee Vacancy
We have one position on the Committee becoming vacant in January. This will be one of the following two roles:
Fundraiser - to co-ordinate a team of fundraisers to ensure we fulfill all our targets; to take responsibility for the Easter raffle.
Admissions - liaison with parents and prospective parents regarding new children’s attendance at the pre-school.
Jane Lansdown is stepping down as Chair and will take on whichever of these two roles is left unfulfilled.
AGM & Parents’ Evening
This will be held on Wednesday 7 November from 7pm to 8.45pm. The evening will include a talk by the Reception teacher at St. Peter’s School about preparing your child for school. Full details are in your child’s drawer this week. Please make the effort to attend if you can as it should be a useful and interesting evening.
This Half Term’s Topics
The topic this half term is“Seasonal Songs”. Each week we are featuring a song which illustrates the season in some way.
A fully detailed version of this list, with requests for relevant contributions, was issued in October.
