Story Sacks

What are Story Sacks?

Story Sacks are sacks that contain fun learning material about a particular topic that you can take home and use together with your child.

We have made these "Story Sacks" in order to aid your child's communication, language and literacy development. Research now shows that children with good verbal skills find reading and writing easier.

Topics

We have made sacks based upon traditional stories such as Red Riding Hood, or Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Other sacks contain stories based upon the children's interests such as princesses or dinosaurs, as well as characters from popular media such as Spot, Maisy and Postman Pat.

The sacks have been fun to make, and we would welcome your suggestions regarding addtional topics we could include in the future.

When and Where

The Story Sacks are put out at the end of most sessions in clear plastic boxes by the childrens trays.

Please choose the Story Sack you wish to hire and see a member of staff who will fill the Sack Hire Book in with your details.
